Travel to Montana Day
Up at 5 am to catch a 7:55 flight out of Bradley. Breakfast and driving to airport got me there by 6:30 which gave me plenty of time to figure out how to print Bag Tags from new kiosks. There was some problem (old man syndrome) at the kiosk so I had to go to the counter to get tags printed. Mildly humbled by technology but not dispirited, negotiated security and boarded flight to Philly to make my connection to Bozeman. Really an uneventful flight but I did notice the haze from the Oregon fires well before we started our descent into Bozeman. Passing over the mountains was disappointing as they weren't as vivid as I had remembered them.
With barely a 5 minute wait, I Ubered over to the hotel and met Matt in the hotel lobby. We made plans for an early dinner and later enjoyed reminiscing and catching up of family matters over beer and barbeque. Not realizing how draining travel can make you feel, after a nice hot shower, I decided to turn in early to be ready for the following day's meet-and-greet with the rest of the tour members.
